Founded in 1999 by director Kit Ashleigh-Dean, South Bay Dance Center has grown from under 100 students to nearly 600 students. The 2011-2012 school year, our 13th season, is a great time to be dancing with us. We have a full schedule of class offerings, and an exciting array of special events and performance opportunities on the calendar. From early beginners through professional level students and adults, we have classes for all that want to study dance. Every student who trains at SBDC receives a quality dance education in a positive learning environment. At SBDC, we are fortunate to have wonderfully qualified instructors who are all passionate about the art of dance, who believe in the ability of dance to transform individuals, and who treasure the unique qualities within each student. Our mission is simple: We at SBDC are committed to training and motivating a new generation of dancers.
